The UK Cavalry Sword M/1912, also known as the Pattern 1912 Cavalry Sword, is produced by WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.) in Solingen, Germany. WKC is the last German sword manufacturer, and they produced a wide range of military swords for various countries, including the UK.

The M/1912 Cavalry Sword was the last standard issue cavalry sword used by the British Army during World War I. It features a single-edged blade with a flat back, measuring around 35 inches (89 cm) long. The blade is typically marked with the "WKC" maker's mark and acid etched with ornamental patterns and royal cypher.

The hilt of the sword consists of a steel guard, a wooden grip covered with ray skin, and a brass pommel.

The M/1912 Cavalry Sword was used by British cavalry units for mounted charges and close combat situations during World War I. It saw action in several major battles, including the Western Front and other theaters of war.  er the war, it remained in service until today.

In 2005, W.K.C. a large part of the production of Wilkinson Sword in London.

In addition to machines, devices and parts for edged weapons, we also took over the tools for the British cavalry sword M1912, which Wilkinson had previously supplied exclusively to the British Ministry of Defence.

Product specifications and variants:

     Guard:
         The solid brass vessel is finely embossed and chased.
         The grip cap is made of solid brass and finely chased.
         The cap is riveted to the continuous blade tang.

     Finish mount: bright nickel

     Handle:
         The ergonomically shaped handle body is covered with real ray skin, painted black and wrapped with silver-plated, twisted wires.

     Blade:
         Hand-forged blade with a central hollow on each side, hardened and tempered to approx. 48-54°HRC Rockwell.
         Choice of carbon steel or stainless steel.

         Dimensions approximately 890mm x 25mm x 8mm
         Acid etched on both sides with Cavalry Pattern M1912 so deep you can feel it with your fingernail. Choice of EIIR or CIIIR coat of arms.
