Hong Kong Police Officer Sword and scabbard, various ranks

Based on British Infantry and Royal Marines Corps - Officers sword (1897 pattern) in accordance with the British MOD specifications for various Military and Police Forces.

Customization is possible.

In November 2005, WKC purchased the majority of the Wilkinson Sword Ltd. production in London. Amongst machines, equipment and parts, we also acquired the tools for the British Infantry and Corps & Royal Marines Officers Sword which Wilkinson delivered exclusively to the MOD

Product specification:

Guard:

• Pierced guard bearing the Hong Kong Police Crest, hand-polished.
• The grip-backing is made of solid brass and fixed to the blade tongue with a ball screw

Finish: Nickelplated

Grip:

• Covered with genuine shark skin, wrapped with 3 silver wires.

Blade:

 A forged stainless steel  steel blade.

The blade is hardened and tempered to ca. 48-52° HRC Rockwell.

Dimensions of the blade: ca. 825 mm x 6.5 x 25 mm.

The acid etching contains ornaments and in the center the Police ranks. Up to 4 rank insignia can be individually selected.

The acid-etch is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail.

Scabbard:

This quality arm is the Royal Air Force Officer Sword with scabbard used by RAF Officers  of Air Rankand below Air Rank. It is crafted in accordance with the British MOD specifications UK/SC/6206 Issue 1.

• Blade:
  • Forged steel blade, carbon steel or stainless steel. It is hardened to ca. 48-52° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. The acid-etch is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail. Dimension of the blade is ca ca. 810 x 22 x 5 mm.

• Guard:
  • Cast brass, hand-polished, 24-carats gold-plated  . Top nut re-chiseled and 24-carats gold-plated  .

• Grip:
  • Handle is covered with genuine sharkskin with goldplated wires.

• Optional Scabbards (not included in sword price):
  • Your choice of real raw-hide leather scabbard, hand-sewn, with 24-carats gold-plated  fittings, 2 attachment rings, or Real raw-hide leather scabbard, hand-sewn, with 24-carats gold-plated  fittings with ornaments, 2 attachment rings.
