TheLotus Katana with differential hardened carbon steel blade from WKC, forged from damascus steel, is a high-quality katana, particularly suitable for training and cutting exercises. The blade is ground very sharp.

Sugata (blade shape):

Hand forged with bohi (groove) on both sides and with chu-kissaki (tip).  The hardness of the back (Mune) is approximately 55° HRC Rockwell and the Ha (edge) is approximately 61° HRC Rockwell (differential hardening). Real Hamon line where the differential hardening becomes clear.

Fuchi Kashira (grip and cap):vBeautifully crafted from carbon steel painted black / goldplated

Tsuka (handle):Wooden handle, adapted to the blade tang, approx. 26 cm long.

Tsuka-ito (handle wrap): Artificial silk, black colour.

Same: Real ray skin, bleached white.

2 Menuki: Brass, one on each side, traditional mount.

Habaki: Brass - brushed.

Seppa: Copper.

Mekugi: Bamboo, according to the traditional way, the two Mekugi-ana are drilled through the fishing rod at an angle to each other. The holes are tapered and the mekugi are not inserted from the same side.

Tsuba (handle): Carbon steel hand-polished, painted black. Simple, elegant design with finely crafted and gilt  Gilt Lotus design.

Saya (scabbard): Made of wood, refinished by hand and finished with a black lacquered surface and polished ray skin, black colour. The curvature is adapted to the blade. The kurikata eyelet has two shitodomes, the koi-guchi is hand-made from real horn.

Sageo: Artificial silk, black.
