Steel scabbard for saber:

Slightly bent seamless tubular steel with a wall thickness of 1 mm, handmade, hand-ground and polished.

Either with 1 carrying ring made of stainless steel and riding eyelet (e.g. for carrying strap item Z50) or with 2 carrying rings.

The inside of the tube is equipped with scratch protection (chips) on both sides for the blade and spout.

Length of the scabbard approx. 850 mm. Suitable for blades up to 20 mm wide, 5 mm thick and 810 mm long.

Finish: Your choice of bright nickel-plated or black powder-coated.

Blade: Forged carbon steel, hardened and tempered to approx. 48-55 HRC Rockwell, hand ground and polished. Elegant bend. Blade is flexible. One hollow track per side. Dimensions: approx. 810 x 22 x 5 mm
With historical Bergmann blade etching on both sides.
Guard: Cast from solid brass, consisting of ball screw, lion's head grip cap, bracket and grip tape. Hand set, ground and polished. Mallet and iron badge on front. Finish: 24K hard gold plated.
Handle: Made of particularly durable ABS plastic, black, surface finely pearled for a firm grip, wrapped with three twisted and silver-plated brass wires.

The WKC Royal Artillery Sword  is crafted in accordance with the Australian MOD specifications.

In November 2005, WKC purchased the toolings of Wilkinson Sword Ltd. for production of various ceremonial swords incl. the Royal Artillery sword and scabbard.
Specifiation:

• Blade: A forged stainless steel  blade, hammered to the correct curvature. It is hardened to ca 48-52° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. Both sides are etched with the Royal Australian Artillery design. The acid-etching is so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail. Dimension of the blade is ca. 870 x 25 x 6 mm.

• Guard: Solid brass, hand-polished, nickelplated.

• Grip: Handle is covered with genuine stingray skin, wrapped with 3 silver-plated wires.

• Scabbard: Your choice of a nickel-plated and hand-polished steel scabbard with 2 attachment rings, or real brown calf leather scabbard with 2 attachment rings.
